We absolutely adored staying in this quirky little slice of heaven, with its unique charm and delightful touches like the carrot cake; Martin and Rosemary were fantastic hosts, friendly and helpful, and they showed us the beautiful animals; the hot tub was a welcome relief after hiking the nearby Stairway to Heaven; the bed was so comfortable we slept wonderfully, and I would strongly recommend The Skewbald – we loved everything!

Everything was fantastic; Rosemary and her lovely dogs welcomed us at arrival, and she worked hard to get the hot tub ready despite bad weather; The Skewbald felt cozy and cute, and we received a treat and a notebook full of useful details; after a dreamy night in the comfiest bed ever, Martin noticed us admiring the sheep and let us see them up close and introduced us to their horses; it’s a special place and we enjoyed meeting everyone and chatting; we’re eager to return and will recommend it to everyone – thank you Rosemary and Martin, you’re amazing.

I had an incredible stay at this wonderful place, which was spotlessly clean and tidy. The hot tub was an absolute highlight, and the BBQ was incredibly easy to use. What really made our stay special, though, was the kindness and hospitality of the hosts, who even showed us their beautiful horses and shared some fascinating stories about them.
