The staff were very friendly, responded quickly and helped with travel planning. The location is good, breakfast is decent for the price. Of course you hear the pedestrian zone, but that's expected when booking a hotel in a prime spot. Unfortunately the stairwell was not very clean, and that carried on. Initially I was given a room where the mattress had a huge mold spot and moisture could be smelled. I was immediately moved to another wing, which was fine. It had a double and a single bed. The single seemed to have been used only as luggage storage, as crumbs remained on the unused bed. The staff should pay more attention to this.
The location is fantastic, right on the main street. Liz, the receptionist, provides excellent service. Water pressure is good and hot water is available all the time. The king bed is comfortable, with a good mattress and pillows. We stayed two nights and the room was never cleaned, towels and toiletries were not replenished, so we had to ask the concierge on the second day. There's no air conditioning, and opening the window lets in mosquitoes along with excessive noise. Only one hanger was in the room. Breakfast is served from 5 to 8 a.m.; if you arrive after 7, food may be gone and not restocked. We arrived at 6:50 a.m. and there were no sausages left; we asked and they said they wouldn't restock. Some guests arrived at 7:15 and literally ate bread with jam and butter because nothing else was left. If the room includes breakfast, it should be fully available until the end time, otherwise a refund should be given.
