Cleanliness was good. I’m not sure where to start. A “friend” of the house owner, clearly intoxicated, was interested in the front door. The same “friend” lived next door and kept his dog on a chain. I was shocked by the view from the window of the chained dog, which sparked a virtual correspondence with the owner. After many firm objections about what was happening to the dog in the heat (35 °C☀️), the “friend” took the dog into his room, but from then on he began stalking me and my friend. For instance, when we opened the bathroom window, he entered in a second and shut it; when we laid the bathroom mat on the floor, he immediately lifted it; when we left, he opened the door and also stepped out for a cigarette; we left at 5 am, he was already at the door standing on the stairs. It was horrible, and we have very unpleasant memories of this stay. I promised the owner I wouldn’t leave a bad review, but I realized that every day he was doing something about the dog situation, so I notified various services and the Carabinieri. I would also ask visitors to check whether the dog is still on a leash at the back of the house, as it’s not visible from the street.
