The welcome was outstanding; after a long walk the room felt very comfortable. Supper was very good, with dairy‑free and wheat‑free options available. The staff were very friendly. Thank you!

The staff were friendly and the décor had an old‑world charm. The décor felt a bit tired overall.

The stay was pleasant with a lovely evening atmosphere. Parking was a challenge, and the stair carpet was very dirty.

The location was perfect for walkers on the Thames Path, and we felt welcomed. The bar offered excellent beer. Our room was large, with a comfortable bed, an efficient shower above the bath, and everything needed for an overnight stay. Dinner at the pub was okay, but it was hot that evening and lighter options would have been better. We would have liked breakfast, but knew it wasn’t offered and found a nearby place easily enough. The internet connection was not very good.
