I was surrounded by nature, which felt oddly intimate but ultimately unforgettable. Coffee and tea were already on the veranda early in the morning, letting me enjoy the sea view before breakfast. Solar panels heat the water, and the PV system powers the room with a battery backup. There's no hair dryer or iron, but that’s fine on vacation. The food was superb, and the area is so quiet you can truly unwind. You can also explore Pangani, a coconut farm village on the Pangani River, or cook with the host mother.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the staff were also very nice. The bed was the best during our three‑week trip across Tanzania, and the mosquito nets over the bed were very useful. We showered outdoors and the food was delicious. They even gave us free water shoes for a reef walk.

The lodge’s houses sit on a cliff, surrounded by a genuine, non‑touristy village. We arrived from Pangani by ferry, which runs about every five minutes, so reaching the lodge was very easy. The owners are a very friendly Danish couple, and most of the staff are from the nearby village, giving the place a truly authentic and welcoming vibe. Everything was very clean, peaceful, and beautifully kept. We could enjoy tasty cocktails at the bar while taking in the stunning ocean view. It’s the perfect spot to escape the crowds and experience real Tanzania. We’d gladly come back.

The location is beautiful and peaceful, ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with family. The staff were very attentive, and the facilities were well run, maintained, and eco‑friendly. We liked the nicely placed sitting spots above the beach, which offered excellent, undisturbed ocean views and special seats for resting. The food was good. Our teens enjoyed exploring the beach and coral areas and playing various games together. We were very pleased with our stay.
