At least the place was clean and the breakfast staff were friendly. However, the map points to a dirt road with erosion, which is bad for motorbike riders like me. A guy who arrived after me from Rio de Janeiro almost hit his head on a wall; the area is picturesque but hard to reach, with many narrow, rough streets. Watch the fork that leads onto the dirt road up to the lodge—take the right one, not the left. Also, the shower water didn’t work, so we were moved to another room. The new room had poor facilities: the TV didn’t work, blankets were missing and had to be requested, and the curtains were torn and didn’t cover the window.

I loved the service—every single person from reception to the lady who organized breakfast was super friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. Our room faced nature, which I adored, and the breakfast was very tasty. My husband and I were thrilled. The only issue was the noise from pigeons and the unbearable smell in the parking lot caused by kittens that stay around the lodge; they don’t leave, so the strong odor of urine and feces was so intense that even from where we were sitting for coffee we could smell it. This needs to be addressed; it left a lot to be desired.
