The hole under the windowsill on the 22nd floor worried me, and water leaked from the shower every time we used it. We had a bit of trouble with the heating, but the gentleman who greeted us—Mr. X—quickly brought an extra heater. The location is great, with nice views and everything close by. The staff on site is very helpful, always ready to assist guests. I would rate the stay as successful, though the bathroom needs a full renovation and the windowsill hole is a safety concern, especially if you have small children.

“The host cancelled so my review is for the alternative apartment I was given”

The host cancelled my booking while I was in a taxi and offered a different apartment with a 200 Yen discount. I had little choice because of the time and my prior commitments. In retrospect, it was a mistake because the place was far from where I needed to be; the host claimed a subway station was only a 3‑minute walk away, which wasn’t true. I ended up spending more on taxis each day, ending up worse off financially and in a lower‑standard apartment than the original review promised. The soundproofing was terrible—every word from the next unit could be heard through the vents, and the walls were so thin that I couldn’t sleep when neighbors returned after midnight. Wi‑Fi was weak, and the TV and phone couldn’t run simultaneously. Overall, it was a nightmare.

The location is amazing, with plenty of sights within walking distance, making it perfect for one or two people. The apartment itself is compact but has everything you need, although it might not be the best fit for families with kids. One thing to note is that you'll need to fill out a self-declaration form on the Shanghai Public Security Bureau's website within 24 hours, which can be a bit of a hassle, especially since the site can be slow and requires you to upload photos.

“Bus zur Metro | Super Apartment!”

This apartment is a gem! The host is super helpful, and the location is great, with a convenient bus stop nearby that'll take you to metros 9 and 2, as well as the Shanghai Tower. You can even track the bus on AMap, which is really handy. There are also some nice spots nearby, like a fancy French cafe and a ferry to the Bund. My only gripe is that there weren't any plates or glasses, but it wasn't a huge deal.

“Ferienwohnung mit super Aussicht”

We were really impressed with how quickly the host responded when we needed to change our accommodation, and the apartment had a great view. There was a convenience store in the lobby, and we appreciated the free drinking water. However, the bed was a bit too hard for our liking, and the Wi-Fi was really slow. The apartment was a bit basic, but it had everything we needed.
