“挺满意的。以后有机会的话会再来。”
The owners are genuinely kind and the hotel has a very distinctive style; when my wife got sunburned they even gave us aloe to soothe the pain, and the décor is uniquely tropical‑rainforest‑like, which I found wonderful.
“Als je een slang wilt tegenkomen moet je hier naar toe gaan”
There really wasn’t anything we liked, so I’ll try to explain the downsides. On the day before our official checkout I messaged the resort owners to voice my disappointment; we’d been drawn in by the high ratings, but the experience was far from that. Parking required a 30‑40 degree slope with a sharp turn—impossible without help. The room I’d booked wasn’t available because of an infestation, and although they offered alternatives, they should have warned us beforehand, not at arrival. My wife didn’t trust the bathroom, which is open at the top and surrounded by plants that attract mosquitoes, lizards, frogs and snakes. You can’t sit outside without being swarmed by bugs; the bedroom had a mosquito net that still didn’t help. The pool is cleaned daily but never truly clean. The reception phone never connects, so you can’t call for help. The “Beach Resort” name suggests a shore, yet it’s just a muddy plain. The worst part was spotting a snake on the second evening; after staff were warned, it vanished and is presumably still somewhere there. When I spoke with the owner, she claimed snakes are normal in nature and implied I only wanted money, though a refund wouldn’t have been unreasonable.
The rooms and bathrooms are good. The swimming pool does not meet European cleanliness standards, and you can’t swim in the bay area at the beach; you have to go to an island to enjoy swimming.
“Liebevoll gestaltete Oase in TayTay”
The property is beautifully arranged, with lovely plants and chic little houses that feature Bali‑style bathrooms. The pool is gorgeous and sits right on the beach, making it easy to snorkel along the reef edge. Kayaks are available to rent, and the friendly owners give great advice on excursions and bus routes.
“Quiet and picturesque location.”
The bathrooms are excellent, the setting is lovely, and the staff are fantastic. The pool, however, was open to the public, poorly maintained, half full, cloudy, and green—so I wouldn’t recommend swimming. The beds were hard, hot water was often unavailable, Wi‑Fi was intermittent, and the only worthwhile nearby attraction was a fort, which was pretty good.
