I liked everything: Madame Vaillant’s greeting, the furniture, the décor, the cleanliness, and the setting. It’s a peaceful, restorative spot, and the bedding was perfect, so I slept very well. I did miss a stool in the bathroom, but it wasn’t a big deal.

The hosts were very welcoming and explained everything about the area. They handed out brochures and restaurant cards, and told us which car park was free for park‑and‑ride into Nantes. Obviously you need a car.

The accommodation was clean and very quiet, with a lovely view of a nice garden. There wasn’t enough hot water: the first person got a hot shower, and the second ended up with cold water.
