The building is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and tastefully furnished. The bathroom, however, is tucked right next to the restaurant kitchen, which feels very uncomfortable and makes you feel like a nuisance. The sheets were tiny and didn’t cover me completely; when I mentioned this, they said they weren’t used to foreign guests’ sizes, even though I’m only 1.60 m tall, and I didn’t appreciate their bad attitude. The staff are largely absent and everything is managed remotely, so there’s no real welcome. It’s extremely noisy because the partitions are thin; we knew this, but the neighbors were still loud.

The furniture fits the traditional house style perfectly and looks lovely, and the bed was clean enough for a restful sleep, but there was no hand‑washing spot near the room and a pack of wet wipes would have helped, and the hallway from the entrance to the room was uncomfortably hot.

Staying in an old Japanese‑style house was a huge plus, with every detail of the décor in the rooms and living area showing careful thought, and the modern bathroom and toilet are well appointed; however, there’s no convenience store nearby so you need to bring anything you’ll need, and many local restaurants are closed on Tuesdays, so keep that in mind.
