2 twin beds
1 single bed
“Kolkko mutta käytännöllinen”
I had no expectations, yet I was pleasantly surprised. The hostel isn’t the most beautiful or cozy, but it’s practical and has everything needed. The bed was surprisingly good! The hostel was also quiet and the common areas tidy. The room itself was a rather plain white cubby, but if you forget the visual aspect, it was functional.
“Okay place for someone who's not looking for luxury”
I paid a reasonable rate, slept well on the comfy beds, and the room had a fridge. Getting in and out was hassle‑free, showers and toilets stayed clean, and the place stayed quiet—unless your neighbor is noisy because the rooms aren't fully soundproof. The kitchen was a letdown; the photos promised a coffee machine and microwave in each room, but those were only in the shared kitchen. Small oversights like blinds instead of curtains, no hooks in the showers, and the broken elevator left us uneasy because the stairwell had no code lock and we didn’t know how to re‑enter after leaving. Overall it’s not terrible, but it’s not the best either.
The room was quiet, but finding the place was a real pain.
Cleanliness was…
“UN DESASTRE EN TODA REGLA”
The location is good—20 minutes on foot from the city centre—and the accommodation is quiet, though that depends on who you share it with. Access is easy with a code, and the communal areas are clean and tidy. The room cleanliness was abysmal: I found a dirty earplug in the bin, dirty plates and cups in the wardrobe, and a fridge that looked like it came from a dumpster, full of rubbish, dust, and hair on the inside and outside, plus hair on both beds, pillows, duvet, and sheet. The floor looked like a hairdresser’s floor. The blinds had a broken handle so they couldn’t close, letting in bright morning light, and the window latch was broken, so the window couldn’t open. The remote had only one battery, so the TV wouldn’t turn on. In short, a disaster—definitely not returning or recommending.
