The estate was very pretty, the outdoor areas and buildings were beautiful, and breakfast was very enjoyable; we didn't try the restaurant, though its menu looked tempting. Nothing else; perhaps the room décor was a bit dated, but the balcony‑terrace made up for it.

The staff were very warm, a new chef had taken over the restaurant and the meal was excellent, so we strongly recommend the evening menu; the establishment has a lot of charm. The Wi‑Fi was not perfect.

It was disappointing to be one of only two couples in a large hotel; the staff were good and the food was good, but the atmosphere felt empty and not quite like a holiday. That should be addressed.
