Quality Inn & Suites near Downtown Bakersfield

We found this place while heading back to Ventura and it proved that appearances can be deceiving. The building looked a little underwhelming when we arrived, especially since we had paid a low rate, but the interior immediately won us over: rooms were tidy and well‑maintained, the heating, air conditioning, and hot water all performed flawlessly, giving us wonderfully strong showers in the morning and evening. The front desk team were warm and helpful, and we appreciated that breakfast was included. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and plan to return.

“Wasn't sure about the location at first but it was nice on the inside”

The room was spotless, and I liked the courtyard and pool area, which were also clean. The room came with an ironing board, a nice refrigerator, and a blow dryer—things many hotels now omit. The TV was a decent size. Breakfast was disappointing, limited to just waffles and very basic fare. The host, Alexander, was very accommodating with my special requests and very polite. I wasn’t thrilled with the location; everything was inside the courtyard and pool, but it wasn’t terrible. The bathroom counters were very low, but you can get used to that.

“Perfect location for me, great staff, clean and good breakfast too. Definitely coming back.”

The staff were very courteous and ensured we received a lower‑level room so my mother could be comfortable. Rooms were very clean and spacious, and breakfast was good. The coffee maker in the breakfast area wasn’t working, which disappointed a few guests, but the staff handled it quickly and told us we could make coffee in our rooms, offering to provide more if needed.
