“A truly special stay in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old City, made unforgettable by the warmth of the owners and the rich”
The hotel sits in Chiang Mai’s old town, where history is visible at every turn. The Old City, founded in 1296 by King Mangrai as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom, still shows its ancient moat and the remnants of its city walls, which you can walk to within minutes of the hotel. Temples, narrow streets, and everyday life coexist here, making you feel part of the culture instead of just a tourist. The location is ideal for anyone craving history, culture, and authentic local life, with street food and bustling areas just a short walk away. The staff’s warmth and hospitality only enhance the experience. There was honestly nothing I didn’t like. The room is on the smaller side, but that’s expected in this part of the Old City and didn’t detract from the overall experience. What really stood out was the owners’ warmth – from the moment we arrived they made us feel genuinely welcome, even inviting us in for mango sticky rice, fruit, and tea on our first morning. Small touches like that make a place special, and for me there were no negatives at all.
