Location and staff. Lack of elevator. Did not realize that a 4 star hotel would not be equipped with an elevator to get to your room. Difficult for an elderly couple specially with a very dimly lighted staircase

This is my second stay at Apenser; the hotel’s spot is fantastic, standing out as the most striking building on the town square. Its design is exquisitely refined and distinctly Apenser, the rooms are cozy and charming, which I love. The restaurant is lavishly decorated, and the breakfast is delicate and tasty. The staff are especially warm and enthusiastic. When I booked, I specifically requested a room type, and they were eager to reserve the one I wanted, which felt very comforting. Apenser is my favorite Swiss town, and this place is flawless—I’ll definitely return.

Perfect location, charming, friendly staff. No aircon and down duvet is not the best bedding option in summer
