The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, with a metro station and convenience stores just a few minutes' walk away.
The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, which made a big difference during my stay.

Located in the heart of Nakayama, the hotel enjoys a prime spot just about a five‑minute walk from Exit 3, putting places like Din Tai Fung, KAVALAN whisky bar, and Li’s Bakery within easy strolling distance. For breakfast, you could pick a single item from the Mos Burger menu the day before and collect it at the front desk the next morning, plus a juice—my choice was a sweet milk tea on both days. Free snacks such as cup noodles and chips were also available for late‑night cravings, though they could only be eaten in the dedicated corner on the first floor and weren’t allowed in the rooms. A coin‑laundry nearby was handy on rainy days, the toilets featured a washlet, and the bathroom had a bathtub. The only minor drawback was some aging in the room fixtures, which didn’t really affect usage.
Da Xin Grand Hotel is about a five‑minute walk from Exit 3 of Zhongshan MRT, so the location is decent; they provide free 24‑hour unlimited midnight snacks like biscuits, instant noodles, and canned drinks, plus a Mos Burger breakfast. However, the hotel’s facilities feel dated, and the bathroom showed some grime and yellow staining, indicating cleanliness could be improved.
“Overall, the excellent location, helpful Japanese-speaking staff, generous kitchen amenities, and Kuro-chan made our sta”
The location is excellent and very convenient for getting around Taipei. The front desk staff were all very friendly, and almost everyone spoke excellent Japanese, which made communication extremely easy. If you like cats, you’ll love Kuro-chan, the hotel cat, who is very friendly! The shared kitchen is also great, with plenty of free snacks, coffee, and instant noodles. We moved to a renovated room on the 6th floor, which was spacious, clean, and much more comfortable. The building itself is quite old, and the cheaper rooms can feel dated. Our first room had a very small combined toilet and shower area. The shower took a long time to get warm, and the water pressure was weak. The renovated room on the 6th floor was much better, although there were still some minor maintenance issues, such as peeling wallpaper and unfinished-looking shower fixtures. We also had some water leak into the room after taking a shower
“街中の便利移動拠点”
The hotel sits right in the middle of the bustling shopping street, which made it incredibly convenient. There were no particular issues.
The accommodation space was pretty good. The entrance could use a better accessible area.
