The rooms were fantastic, the kitchen was huge, and the building was just a five‑minute walk from Swansea Bay’s Mumbles, where you could see the sea in the distance. However, many issues needed attention. I arrived on time even though I was dealing with a sudden ankle injury, and the manageress was right behind me. Inside, the windows were filthy with cobwebs, the kitchen smelled greasy, and pigeons were around the back door. I told the cleaner about missing cutlery, but it seemed other guests were taking knives and forks and not returning them. A sign in the fridge warned against taking others’ food, and no theft happened. I noticed only four dining chairs at the table; someone else had taken the rest for unclear reasons. The first shower was problematic—metal holders slid off the rail as soon as I lifted them, which was frustrating. The second shower worked fine. Carpet cleaning seemed lacking, and the greasy kitchen could use an air freshener or neutralizer. The TV signal was spotty. Overall, I hope the owner, Alice, can address these concerns to improve the property.
