The restaurants and all the staff—both the front‑desk team and the chefs—were great, and the pool was spacious and comfortable. However, the push to buy a membership felt excessive, and if you’re not a member or a VIP guest, moving around is pretty restricted.

I was hit with a huge amount of seaweed, and the concierge was poorly informed, giving us bad information about kids’ activities; I received a breakfast invitation that turned out to be just a pitch for memberships and other offers.

We had an excellent stay at Iberostar Waves Paraiso; everything was truly up to par: a beautiful hotel, a stunning setting, friendly and attentive staff, and very nice services. We loved everything and fully enjoyed our vacation. The only minor drawback was the lack of nearby attractions; to go out or explore the area you need to arrange a taxi, which can be a bit inconvenient.

The setting is stunning and really makes you feel out of place; the pool is superb and even with many guests you never feel cramped thanks to the ample space. The beach team made a noticeable effort to clear the sargassum, leaving very little by the end of our stay. The way the excursions were organized could be better—they were pricey and out of the three we booked, two had issues (one was cancelled after more than two hours of waiting and another was poorly timed, forcing us to get up at 5 am for no reason). Still, the guides were excellent, spoke French, and we received an upgrade for the cancelled and rescheduled trip.
