“Nice, quiet hotel”
It’s a beautiful venue/hotel with a lovely restaurant and amazing staff, and the location was good, but it felt a bit expensive for what it was.

The bed was very comfortable and the Wi‑Fi worked well; the room was quiet, the bathroom was spacious, the shower was a large wet room, and I would have liked a grab handle on the wall. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Hai Phòng and there is an excellent seafood restaurant called Talata very close by; take a table on the top floor. The staff—especially those at breakfast—were extremely eager to please. I didn’t like that the room was dark and it was necessary to keep the curtains drawn all the time; I admit I knew there was no balcony or outside view when I booked, but if I were to stay at the Paul Chabot again I would spend more money and reserve a room with these facilities. The breakfast buffet is aimed 100 % toward the Asian market, so anyone thinking they can have a “full English” will be very disappointed; there aren’t even any decent‑sized teacups, and the water in which to dunk a teabag is just about warm.

The hotel’s décor is gorgeous, every corner feels like a perfect backdrop for a selfie. The street beside the hotel is lined with plenty of restaurants on both sides, making meals convenient, and there’s a budget-friendly supermarket in the middle of the street for quick shopping before heading to the next attraction. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the buffet area is airy and spacious, and the hotel is dotted with many plants that give a natural vibe. Except for the rooms and the entrance hall, the staircases and corridors feel stiflingly hot, so you’d rather slip back into your room than linger outside. Even though the space is well lit, there’s no ventilation, making the interior feel stuffy and the temperature rises quickly in the corridors.

A small hotel right in the heart of HaiPhong. Very good, very clean, staff very welcoming. Perfect for a few nights while exploring the city. It can also be a great base for a business trip.

The washing machines were reasonably priced and useful for our backpacking trip when we needed to clean clothes. Wi‑Fi was solid, and breakfast was decent. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, so I woke up with a bad back, which is disappointing given the high comfort rating. Corridor noise was loud, and the corridors were extremely hot with no AC; windows were left open letting all the heat in. The room’s AC, however, worked well.
