I was very satisfied with my stay at Tofa Uti Inn; everything was great, the accommodation was pleasant, the staff friendly, and I felt very comfortable overall. The only downside was the power outages that are common on the island, and there were times when Wi‑Fi was unavailable; a solar system could be a good sustainable solution. Other than that, everything met my expectations and I would choose Tofa Uti Inn again. A nice place and a very pleasant stay! The lack of solar and occasional power cuts were the only negatives.

“Overall very welcoming environment”

Excellent breakfast and extremely helpful staff who go all out to make the stay comfortable, but there were a few power cuts. I recommend installing solar panels to provide electricity and avoid rationing beyond their control.

The location is not far from the beach and it’s small‑scale, but there is no generator for power outages, and you have to order your dinner and lunch three days in advance.

“Authentique”

This guesthouse is really pleasant, ideal for those after authenticity and quiet. The breakfast was delicious, and the beach is very close. The staff were very helpful. A guided tour of the village is available. For lunch or dinner, the options are limited – either the high‑end restaurant at Clove Hotel, which accepts card payments, or the local beachside dishes, which are also very tasty and a unique experience. The beach under the sea is rocky, so you have to be careful when walking. The coral reefs are closer than in Jambiani, letting you see fish around the corals while walking in the water. The water stays very shallow, not even knee‑deep, even when you go far out. The water pressure in the shower was barely enough; tap water had better pressure than the shower. There were long power outages both day and night, and the fan or air‑conditioning didn’t help with the heat. Storage was a bit lacking – no small table, bedside table, or small piece of furniture to put things on.

“Little piece of heaven: quite and calm”

The staff were amazing and made you feel welcome from the very first second. The garden is beautiful and the pool is amazing. The outdoor seating area is great. Breakfast was good and the Wi‑Fi was reliable. The air‑conditioning didn’t properly cool the room.
