We stayed in Tisse specifically for the safari; the owner organized everything perfectly. The room had no air conditioning, which we were warned about in advance and advised to choose a room with AC, but based on our coastal experience we thought a fan would suffice—yet it wasn’t enough and it felt very stuffy. The hotel is new or renovated, everything is clean, and there’s a balcony and terrace. Shops are within walking distance. They offered coffee before the safari. The owner was very kind and helped us in the morning before the safari; I had a stomach ache and needed rehydration, so he brought water and found the only packet of a similar Lankian medicine, which probably allowed me to enjoy the safari without issues. We used the advertised transfer service and got to the next stop smoothly.
