“Horrible and not what I booked, if I book a hotel with a bath I want use of that bath, no plug”
The only two positives of our stay at the Brooks motel were the comfortable bed and the location. For starters, there was no one to check us in—just cleaners with motel room doors open to finish cleaning, and they were still cleaning even after check‑in. The room was a complete nightmare; OSB wood as a decor choice immediately told me that this establishment was a low‑effort motel business. I can respect motels for being super cheap for just a place to stay for a night as you travel, as I have done this many times. All the places that I went to low‑effort establishments were half the price and way more accommodating and welcoming. This place painted their concrete floors, which I imagine especially in the winter months is horrible for maintaining heat. There were only 2 hooks, and you’re 5–10 minutes from a ski resort where people need to hang their equipment. We were hiking and had nowhere to hang our wet clothes. I always book a room with a bath because I have to soak my body after a lot of metal in my body, no plug, no way to plug, cleaners couldn’t find anything to use so no bath after hiking miles, that in itself infuriated me. I booked a room with a bathtub, the place was filthy and the heater worked sometimes and others didn’t work. I inquired about a return of my money so I could find another place but was immediately told no. If I had been traveling by myself to hike as a woman I would not have felt safe at all. It’s disappointing that your profile pictures all look way nicer until you see them in person. We could hear our neighbors’ entire conversations as that AC unit made it possible. The door was broken and we had difficulty closing it. It irritates me that the owners of this establishment are so lazy or so cheap to make this a decent location for travelers feel safe and feel that they are in a clean environment. This place is a complete rip off.
