“A place to sleep.”

Parents were visiting UMD and this was the only place we could find. We paid almost $300 for two nights, which was a relative bargain. The motel isn’t the type of place we usually choose. The room smelled musty but the AC made it tolerable; the bed was uncomfortable yet clean. The bathrooms were clean, but every morning a strange vibration made the whole room shake; I have no idea what caused it. I wouldn’t stay here again unless no other options are available near UMD.

“Horrible. Never again”

The place is in a good spot. My room was filthy, the carpet was outdated and torn, the door was stuck and the key card fell apart. When I asked the front desk lady for help, she insisted on giving me another key but didn’t actually assist me. The fifth time a maintenance worker appeared and opened the door. The next day a housekeeping staff member opened my door at 10:44 am even though I had told her I was leaving at 11 am and she didn’t knock.

The location and accessibility were great, and the front desk staff were attentive. However, there was a water leak on the floor‑wall near the bathroom; it wasn’t obvious because the rug covered it.

“Comfortable for a night.”

The staff were great. The “breakfast included” was a joke: coffee, industrial‑style powdered juices, plastic‑wrapped bagels and single‑dose Philadelphia cheese; I wish I could say more.

Everything was convenient and comfortable. It might have been a non‑smoking room, yet there was still lingering smoke residue from a previous stay.
