“Si vous aimez être isolé de tout et que vous cherchez un lieu de repos, cet hôtel est pour vous !”
The property offers villas with private pools, and they’re comfortable and quiet, which is a real plus for me. The private pool is sizable and the water is at a good temperature—undeniably a strong point. The place is naturally calm and restful. On the downside, the hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere; it’s impossible to catch a Grab or Gojek. The hotel can arrange a transfer, but it’s a bit pricier—roughly more than double the app fare. The hotel isn’t brand new; the access road isn’t paved or lit, which is especially bad after sunset when the road has potholes and it’s pitch black. It’s not great, and if you have mobility issues or are disabled, you might want to skip it because they love the stairs. To reach our villa, we had to climb several flights of stairs, which my wife, who has a knee problem, didn’t appreciate. There’s no buffet breakfast, only a limited à la carte selection, so I’m still annoyed that I paid for a room with breakfast and then found I couldn’t eat as freely as I’d hoped. Opinions will differ, but the food that’s prepared is decent and of good quality, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a mixed drawback.
