The cabins are in a unique, indescribable spot on the island, and many reviews focus on the location. If you book the most expensive bungalow, you get a private bathroom with hot water and air‑conditioning; the others don’t. I don’t understand why payment cannot be made in high season via e‑payment, but it is possible in low season, so we had to withdraw cash on the mainland and pay on site. The staff were genuinely friendly, even when we asked for hot water in the shower or for a fix after the toilet didn’t drain properly the next day; they resolved it when requested. When we asked for room service and were told to leave our key at the bar, the service still came to our room and it was done. After we asked for fresh sheets, that was also provided. On site you can rent a scooter, which I would not recommend. The technical condition is not great; the communal areas near the beach are outdated, needing repainting and repairs, but the lounge chairs have a charming, story‑telling vibe. The kitchen is adequate, nothing groundbreaking, more geared toward tourists. Expect no authentic Thai food. The restaurant is open to non‑guests, so as we experienced, Israeli guests could order drinks, check emails over free Wi‑Fi, and smoke weed openly on the beach. We asked the staff to intervene, and they did. The Israelis came again, same behavior, and the staff had had enough. They told us they would not be allowed back.
