“Uitstekend Hotel”

Good bed, metro close by. A small extra detail is that all outlets, both Chinese and European, worked well—something I’ve had problems with in other hotels due to loose contacts. The only drawback is that there’s nothing in the bathroom to hang underwear for drying if you wash it yourself; I don’t want to bring 21 pairs of underwear for a three‑week vacation.

It’s near the centre and the rooms are spacious, but the staff struggled with English, the rooms could have been more modern, and the Wi‑Fi was not optimal.

“Good location bad facilities”

I was very disappointed: the bathroom had a bad smell, the closet had no handles, the carpet was so thick it made it hard to pull luggage through, and Wi‑Fi didn’t work with non‑Chinese phone numbers.

“This was my second visit (in two years), generally i was satisfied with some details.”

I appreciated that the cleaning crew worked even in the afternoon, which is handy for overseas guests dealing with jet lag or tight schedules, and the hotel’s proximity to a metro station that takes 40 minutes to the exhibition centre was a key reason I booked it. However, the room absorbed cigarette smoke from other rooms; the sheets were clean but sometimes carried a faint cigarette scent, likely due to the building’s airflow system. The staff handled requests well and the windows let in some fresh air, but the A/C didn’t work in heating mode.
