Nothing special. The entrance was terrible – it was raining, I couldn’t see it, and it took me a while to find the place.

This is a highway/motorway hotel that should be judged as such: convenient, quiet, clean and spacious rooms, with a restaurant and bar on the ground floor. However, guests often struggle to locate the hotel; I had the same issue. The hotel sits in the service area on the motorway toward Bilbao. If you’re coming from Bilbao, you must exit at the Altube service area and re-enter at the same toll station. It’s a shame the owners or staff don’t provide this information.

Nothing. A horrible third‑world pint. The place was a filthy pigsty full of flies, a proper nightclub.

It exceeded my expectations. The only tricky part was getting to the hotel – we had to pay the motorway toll several times.
