The hotel was charming and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even surprising us with a bottle of wine for our honeymoon. The onsen was lovely and Tendo a beautiful town, making the stay a wonderful escape from Tokyo.

The traditional room was very pleasant, the onsen was great, the meals were good, and the staff were friendly. A very enjoyable ryokan, close to Yamadera.

The interior design was extraordinary and atmospheric; we loved wandering through all the hallways. The hotel is partially renovated with a modern look. The room felt a bit old, but the common areas were modern or in very good shape. We really enjoyed this ryokan and wish we could have stayed longer. Make sure to book your dinner in advance, as same‑day reservations may not be possible.

From Germany, I was thrilled to see so many cats! 😼 The hotel is wonderfully detailed and truly lovely.
