The hosts were lovely and welcoming, flexible and accommodating when we faced crazy weather. The lodge is beautiful with excellent facilities, and the location is great even in snow. Communication before and during the stay was excellent. It was all good!

The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, which made meeting new folks in the lodge feel natural. Dinner was solid—home‑made jams, teas, and snacks added a nice touch. I appreciated being close to the park’s raw nature instead of the resort’s built‑up feel. One thing that’d make it even better is a sauna or massage chair for some extra downtime.

The food was decent, but the lack of a lunch option meant I had to trek down to the Perisher food hall, which cut into my downtime if the snow was bad. On top of that, the manager yelled at me when I asked for help finding my child—she said it wasn’t her job. The beds were also too short; at 170 cm I had my feet dangling off the bottom.
