A beautiful self‑contained room in lovely surroundings. Everything you would need is supplied: breakfast cereals, bread and toast, jam and marmalade, marmite and peanut butter, microwave, condiments, all cutlery, bowls and plates, tea and coffee (every kind of tea), shower gel, shampoo, plenty of towels, table and chairs, outside chairs, private patio. Nothing else to add.

The location was truly peaceful, and the room was spacious and airy even when it was hot; the shower was excellent and breakfast supplies were very good. The garden was lovely, quiet, and private, making it a great base for exploring Chichester and nearby spots, with buses available. The hostess was friendly and gave us a box of goodies from her nursery when we left. The only downside was that the access from a busy road through a car repair shop was a bit surprising, and there was no pavement on that road, but that wasn’t the host’s fault.

The room matched the photo exactly, with a big, comfortable bed that let us sleep well, and an electric fan that was perfect for the summer heat. The continental breakfast was healthy and varied, and we felt connected to nature, hearing different birds around us. The highlight was a bonus bag of the host’s own produce, which moved us deeply and showed great generosity. We would have liked a larger bottle of body soap for two people over two nights, but that wasn’t requested, so otherwise everything was fantastic.
