Mangue Seco Lodge - Experiência Gastronômica

“Boa qualidade da acomodação, associada a um bom custo benefício e uma culinária excelente.”

The host Camila provided excellent service, the cuisine was impeccable, and the property’s location in a historic mansion was impressive and captivating; no issues were found that would cause discomfort, despite some formalities from the host.

The hosts were very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was great. Everything else was fine.

“Apesar da excelente cozinha, é uma hospedagem frustrante”

The place was comfortable and pretty, the kitchen was outstanding, and the breakfast that comes with the stay is a showstopper! Chef Camila’s dinners are must‑try. But it didn’t feel like a normal inn; the forced intimacy with the owner/manager made it seem like you were staying in someone’s home when you were actually paying for a pre‑agreed service, which ruined our experience at the beautiful Mangue Seco that I’ve visited for years. There are also a lot of rules and overly strict schedules, even for those who would be open to such a setting at a rest time, which frustrated our vacation. It was very unpleasant to stay in an environment where you feel intimidated by the owner who seems to want to control every step of your stay. I would not recommend it at all.

“Un paraíso”

It’s a true paradise. We only stayed two days but would have stayed a month. The food is amazing, and the care and attention they give to everything is hard to find elsewhere. The town’s tranquility is impressive. You can walk across the dunes (there’s also a quad service) in a short time and reach the other side where the beach with snack bars is. They explain everything perfectly. You can talk with the hosts for hours.

Sensational. Delicious and original. Every day brings new “attractions.”
