The cottage was very pretty, the brothers were very kind and helpful, and the view was also beautiful. It was exhausting to climb almost 300 steps every day in the heat, it isn’t exactly central but highly recommended if you want peace and maybe a group that wants to chill on the terrace at night; it can be a bit difficult for solo travelers.

The location, the very kind host, the fruit trees, and the originality of the house. Some cooking utensils were missing.

Outside the bustle of Himare, you climb about 300 steps to reach a quiet spot where the terrace feels huge and airy. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the host was welcoming and quick to respond. The only hiccup was getting there – Google Maps misdirects you, and the drive up is a steep climb that’s tough unless you have a 4x4 or SUV.

The terrace offers a lovely sea view, but getting to the beach takes a 5‑10 minute walk up 300 stairs – not ideal if you’re not a good hiker. The camera watching the terrace feels intrusive, and the kitchen is under‑equipped; you can’t even boil pasta. Breakfast left something to be desired – no fresh bread, coffee, tea, water or juice.
