Pousada Villegaignon, a charming guest house, is 300 metres from Praia da Armação Beach. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, a pool, continental breakfast, and 24-hour reception. Rooms include satellite TV, CD/DVD player, telephone, minibar, and private bathroom with shower. Bars, restaurants, and Búzios bus terminal are within 200-100 metres. A sauna is available for an extra fee.

The pousada is in an excellent spot, close to Rua das Pedras (and Orla Bardot), the main bar and restaurant area of Búzios; we walked there every day without feeling unsafe, even at night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very attentive. The lodging doesn’t offer parking, but there is a paid lot right across the street that charged 70 reais per day for vehicle storage.

The location is superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is comfortable, the heated pool is pleasant, and there is a sauna. Whenever we asked for something, we were attended to quickly and in a very good manner. I highly recommend the place. Regarding breakfast, we mentioned that one person was vegan, but although the spread looked varied, there were VERY FEW vegan options. If there was fruit, it was only 2 or 3 choices and nothing else. After that, almost nothing else was suitable (or at least not labeled as suitable). There were no plant‑milk options, so we had to buy one separately: but I must note that they were very kind and always heated it for me when I asked. The suggestion would be to add some creativity and inclusion to the breakfasts.

Nothing was good. Everything—service, organization, respect for the client, the essentials they failed to meet—made us decide to change the lodge.
