Hôtel Medina

The location is fantastic, right at the start of the Medina and close to the station for catching the local train to Monastir and Mahdia, with plenty of small spots to eat and the tourist information office nearby. The terrace is gorgeous, overlooking all the rooftops of the Medina. The staff were friendly and all very helpful. Breakfast was generous and varied. The building looks nice and the room is huge, with a large bathroom and shower. The only downside was that there was no Wi‑Fi in the room. The hotel is very big, and my room might have been too far from the reception, but not having Wi‑Fi really limited me since I was planning my trip day by day.

The hotel’s location and overall service give me directions to all the places I want to visit. The first floor was a bit better for me, but it’s not a big deal.

“Practical place to stay and very central.”

The location is very central, breakfast is basic and the room is very basic too. The bathroom was hard to shower in, the water would spill all around.

We liked the location and the breakfast was pretty complete, and the price‑quality ratio was fine. We had a problem on the first night in one of the rooms: the air conditioner didn’t work and the shower flooded, so we asked for a room change but it wasn’t possible; the person who attended us left a lot to be desired. The next night we received an apology from the hotel and an upgrade for the inconvenience. For us it was a point‑of‑departure and return for an excursion, and it met that requirement well; we could leave our luggage there.

“Great hotel”

Great hotel close to the beach, Medina and train station. Super friendly staff who gave great advice on restaurants. Spacious room, good water pressure. Good breakfast buffet. Wi‑Fi didn’t work in the room, only in the lobby area. Clean enough but room for improvement.
