The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home.
The breakfast was huge, I literally couldn't eat it all.
Super close to the station, which is really convenient.
The room and onsen were really clean and comfy, and I had a great time there.

“Esperienza autentica, Toba e le pescatrici Ama”
Breakfast was a classic Japanese spread with rice, miso, fish, eggs, vegetables, and fruit—delicious and filling. The location is super central, everything is close by. Everything was perfect; although the place is a bit older, it still works, stays clean, and feels very authentic.
“昭和の日本を感じられる宿”
The hotel sits close to the station and the aquarium, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast and the landlady’s rice balls are delicious, giving a real sense of old‑Japan. However, there is no elevator, the air‑conditioning struggles in the height of summer, the facilities and amenities are only basic, and the advertised coffee isn’t available.
Being within walking distance of Toba Station and the aquarium made getting around easy, and a direct bus from the station to Ise Shrine was handy for our pilgrimage. The landlady and staff were very courteous, and the dinner seafood spread was lavish, with huge oysters that paired beautifully with the local white hawk sake; we enjoyed a great variety of regional specialties. The rice ball we received before departure was heartfelt and tasty. The building feels very historic, more like a rural grandparents’ home than a modern hotel, so guests looking for brand‑new fixtures might prefer somewhere else; it’s a matter of personal taste.
“帰る時には大満足”
The staff were wonderful and the food was great, leaving me completely satisfied. The property does show signs of age, but the staff, cuisine and location more than make up for it.
“満足”
The exterior, atmosphere, the landlady’s and employees’ attentiveness, the view, the spotless rooms and the bath were all impressive. There were a few minor issues, but they matched the price we paid.
