The location is great, the ceilings are high, and the historic vibe is real. The staff were helpful and sincere, and the food was plentiful and tasty. Traffic noise was a problem, and the room didn’t block it well. Our air‑con unit was noisy, making it hard to use. Only one bedside table was awkward for two people, the room was overall very small, and the shared shower area needs some work.

The room and bed look clean, but the bathroom is shared, the toilet and verandah door can’t be shut and locked, the smoking area is right on the verandah so smoke drifts into the room, and it’s noisy because there’s a pub downstairs and you can hear the next door too.

The shared bathrooms were a major issue and made the experience unpleasant.

Everyone from the staff to the locals was very friendly and the location was excellent, although the traffic from the tuck was a bit noisy; the pub meals were reasonably priced with generous portions, but the interior could use a refresh and the shared toilet and bathroom were especially lacking.
