“Would we stay there again, yes but only if the price was about 30% less.”
Ledgowan Lodge has a certain charm; the decor is amazing and spotless, the room comfortable and well‑furnished, and one staff member worked his socks off, was attentive and courteous and probably deserves a raise! Still, it felt overpriced compared to other hotels, with only one person covering reception, the bar, table service, and likely food prep, which was pleasant but sub‑par for the price. Breakfast arrived in a staccato fashion to the serving area, and the breakfast room felt more like a village hall. Seeing so many tradesmen staying there made me think their companies wouldn’t have paid what we did per night. After our stay I got a DM asking me to leave a review, which felt a bit pushy.
