The bath was great—warm, silky water that felt refreshing, and the room was clean. The door, however, was heavy.

“A traditional experience, whether that's good or bad is up to you”

The staff delivered outstanding service, but the food, while pretty and traditional, didn't taste good. Also, in 2026 they displayed a prejudice against tattoos.

“Relaxing hotel with clean onsen bathing facilities. We would stay again.”

We really enjoyed the onsen bathing rooms and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious and spotless, and they let us wear yukata around the hotel. There’s another resort next door with outdoor swimming pools that we didn’t visit, but guests could use those as well. The only issue was that we couldn’t eat there because all the dishes contained fish.

I chose this place mainly for its strategic location near the post town of Magome. It’s cozy, the staff are kind and helpful, and the half‑board meals – dinner and breakfast – are genuine Japanese culinary experiences. Nothing to complain about.
