Azalea Terrace Cave Hotel

“Friendly staff and good location.”

The staff went above and beyond, especially Linda at the front desk who was incredibly kind and looked after us. Because we had an early start before breakfast, she arranged a breakfast pack for us, which we really appreciated. The location is great, within walking distance of the trailheads for Red Valley, Rose Valley, and Love Valley, making it a wonderful spot for exploring Cappadocia’s beautiful valleys. The only downside is that, although the hotel is advertised as a cave hotel, it isn’t actually a cave house.

“Wonderful experience”

This small, cozy hotel feels like home, sits right in the centre of Goreme yet away from noisy streets, and its terrace is perfect for an aperitif at sunset; Volkam, Linda and Eris are wonderful people who go out of their way to meet every request with willingness and a smile—thanks!

The breakfast was a typical Turkish spread prepared on the spot and very good, served on a panoramic terrace; the room was very spacious and the staff were very kind and helpful.

The location is great, right next to the centre with shops and restaurants, and parking is quite convenient on the quiet adjoining street; the breakfast is excellent, and if you’re still hungry there’s always an extra portion; the only downside is the minimal furniture, which made it hard for the three of us to store our belongings.
