I absolutely loved the beautiful traditional design; it has a unique and authentic charm that caught my eye right away. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile, especially towards my kids. The facilities were well kept, and the room was comfortable and peaceful. Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like.

An exceptional place; the room is magnificent, quiet, with a terrace overlooking the garden. The staff are very attentive and very kind. I highly recommend this hotel.

The setting and the closeness to Akagera Park were great, though I didn’t like being placed in a family suite for six people that only had two beds, no matter how large they were, and a small local entertainment program would have been welcome.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and attentive, with several members speaking French and English; ordering menus in advance was very convenient, and both meals and breakfast were tasty and plentiful, as were the lunch packs. The bathroom door was ajar, and one of the two single mattresses was a bit too soft.

The lodge sits very close to Akagera National Park, offering everything needed to make the visit exciting and comfortable, with kind and helpful staff, a cozy room that relaxed you after a day at the park, parking, and excellent Wi‑Fi—overall a very pleasant experience.
