“Merveilleux et relaxant Un vrai moment de bonheur”
The welcome was warm, the place magical, the rooms beautiful. The restaurant. Absolutely nothing—one of the most wonderful places we’ve stayed in.

Don’t let the industrial backdrop fool you; this hotel sits in a lovely, green oasis beside an almost primeval ravine (river Seyon) that dates back to the 16th century when it was part of a mill and surrounding crafts. A few buses—120, 122, 101—are close by and will drop you into the city centre or the main station to the east in just a few minutes. The building itself has been modernised with style and comfort, which shows in the rooms, hallways, and breakfast area—a perfect mix of old and new. Just keep in mind that you won’t really hear the neighbourhood or the nearby railway, but you’ll have to accept the loud water (we loved it). Mr D'Souza and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant should be very good (unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try it). For Switzerland the prices were fair. It’s a very special place that will leave a mark, not just like any other hotel; we can only recommend it highly indeed!

I stayed in a quirky spot right by a stream, yet still smack in the middle of Neuchâtel. The view is great, but when the windows are open the stream’s murmur is hard to ignore, and the nearby train is loud most of the day—at least until midnight when it quiets down.

The very authentic charm of the establishment.

It was an idyll in the city, a true oasis with plenty of greenery, a stream with water mills and wheels. I took a one‑hour walk around the house to explore and photograph, and it was fantastic! The breakfast room is very nice and the breakfast plentiful. Time seemed to stand still here, and everything was well maintained and clean. Walking down to the lake takes about 20 minutes—totally doable. I would book again immediately. The attached restaurant is also highly recommended. We wanted to extend our stay right after arrival, but it was full. We returned the next night and booked again online. I think the receptionist could have told us that a room would be available the following night.
