“Can do better for the money we paid.”

The staff were friendly at check‑in, but the place was very run down: glasses were broken, the concrete floor had ripped carpet, the toilet roll holder was broken, the vanity was falling apart, and there were no kitchen items such as glasses or cups.

“Amazing value for money”

The value for money was great, the room was spacious and clean, and I loved having two bathrooms. The person who assisted me upon arrival was fantastic—he even turned on the air‑con before I got there.

“Memorable for all the wrong reasons!”

Hello, Unfortunately, our stay will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. The room next to us, which I believe was Room 5, had a group of people outside from approximately 8:00pm until 3:00am. During this time, they were arguing aggressively, becoming physical with one another, throwing items, screaming, and using offensive and abusive language. This behaviour was continuous for several hours and was extremely disturbing. We are a family with young children, and our children were absolutely terrified by what was happening. We felt completely unsafe and were unable to properly sleep or relax throughout the night. We could not wait to leave the motel the following morning. It was a very distressing and unpleasant experience, particularly when travelling with young children. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will never stay at the South Gladstone Motel again, nor would we feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. I believe this matter should be taken seriously, as guests should be able to feel safe and secure during their stay

The husband said the staff were very friendly at check‑in, but the place looked completely unclean, the bed sheets were stained, hair was everywhere, all the showers had mould (not just stained grout), the shower kept dripping all night, the cups in the kitchen were filthy so we avoided using the kitchen, and we stayed only one night.

“Would stay again but bring my own linens. Older building but quaint. Some xtra care will be enough”

Big open family room at a good price. Nice long kitchen counter. Freeze dried coffee and tea. Fridge and freezer and microwave. Sticky floors, bring your slippers.not enought bed sheets and office closed in the mid evening so I couldn'tget more. Dirty sofa and older stained fold out sofa bed. Only 1 flat sheet. No top sheet. Had to wrap in blanket to keep off of the stained mattress. Not enough pillows. We had to use older sofa throw pillows. Unsure of how many people had used them or how clean they might be. and no pillow cases for them. Photos do not accurately reflect the conditions of the rooms. Incense smell filters through the air-conditioning system. But not unpleasant or strong. TV reception was sketchy but viewable. Water didn't get very hot. But adequate
