The Hotel at Fifth Avenue

“Pretty good”

The hall looks good, the rooms are clean and spacious but the bathroom is very old; the view from the room was terrible with the air‑conditioner motors in sight, the desk staff were very cold and rushed, while the cleaning staff were very friendly; overall it’s pricey for what it offers but Manhattan is like that; the coffee offered in the morning was fine but not actually coffee—it was terrible; the fitness room was poorly equipped; the location is definitely great. The gym, bathroom, room view, coffee, and intermittent Wi‑Fi were the downsides.

The hotel is about a five‑minute walk from Penn Station and has a convenient water server underground. The only issue was a similarly named hotel without the “At” that I mistakenly went to.

“Highly recommend”

The location is great, the hotel is very clean, and the staff are lovely, though the rooms are small, a drawback that the positives more than made up for.

The location is great, a subway station at the end of the street takes you anywhere, and the staff were lovely; the rooms were quite small and dated, though they were very clean with no grime, but the furniture and décor were very old.

The bed was comfortable, but the price didn’t justify it; my view was of a boxed‑in courtyard and there were few amenities for the amount charged.
