The buffet breakfast was good, but I wanted child‑size plates. The bed felt hard and the sleep experience was bad.

The hotel is right next to 酒田駅, so train and bus access is excellent. Though not new, it was clean and pleasant.

Near the station everything was clean and the bathroom and toilet were neat; even though bus curtains elsewhere can be moldy, this place was well cared for. The breakfast, served at the first‑floor izakaya “Uotani”, felt cheap at 1,000 yen; I’d like a slightly higher quality option for 2–3,000 yen. With no other breakfast venues around, I hope the hotel will step up its game. Good Shōnai? Maybe. Breakfast matters.
