“We stayed at this place purely for the sunrise view, and we were not disappointed.”

The accommodation was simple but satisfactory. We stayed mainly for the amazing views. The food was good, rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The infinity pool offers an incredible outlook over Mount Batur volcano. This place isn’t a 5‑star hotel, but I would definitely stay again. I liked everything, but people with mobility issues should probably avoid it because of steep stairs; that’s unavoidable for accommodation on the steep side of a hill.

“If the lights were off at sunrise it would be a better experience”

The location was good and the sunrise was beautiful, but lights outside the room stayed on all night; turning them off would have let me enjoy a cleaner sunrise without the light pollution.

The view was beautiful and the pool was cool with refreshing water, so one night was enough. However, the door and window were made of metal, giving the feeling of living in a container; the room was tired and needed repairs; a chemical odor triggered an allergy; at 7 am I was woken by a loud knock asking about breakfast—this was a deep night, and it would have been better to arrange the time from the evening; the service felt oddly punitive and didn’t let me sleep.

The location and view were amazing, the bed was comfortable and the pool pleasant, but the bathroom was disgusting, with a foul damp smell and no hot water.
