“Estancia muy agradable”
The room and bathroom were spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The house is very pretty with a terrace, garden, and parking. It was very quiet, with no noise to disturb sleep. The owners were friendly and close.
We had booked a suite that should have included a living room with a sofa bed, a bedroom and a bathroom. When we arrived, we were given a 12 m² room with a “double bed” measuring 1.35 m × 1.90 m, a tiny bathroom and a small balcony – essentially the smallest room on the whole floor according to the hotel’s floor plan. After we complained that this was not the suite we reserved, the staff told us it counted as a suite because of the balcony, that we hadn’t paid yet and could look for something else if we didn’t like it – which was impossible on a Saturday night in high season, so we had to stay there for one night. The next morning we raised the issue again with the hotel owner and demanded the proper suite; he again insisted that the room we had was the suite we booked. When he realized we wouldn’t accept it, he escalated the matter, eventually cancelling our reservation and asking us to leave. The only positive note is that he never asked us to pay for the tiny room. The way he blew up the situation and rushed the cancellation makes us think this isn’t the first time a guest has been given a cramped “suite” and refused it. Interestingly, a few hours after we left, the previously fully booked hotel was able to accept a new “suite” booking.
The owners were kind, the breakfast area outside was nice, they made breakfast on the spot, and the town was peaceful. The room and bathroom were very spacious. The bed and pillow could be more comfortable.
