“Good value for money stay”
The English breakfast was solid, with tasty bacon and mushrooms and a generous portion of Eggs Benedict—two eggs on muffins. We also tried the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, a lighter option; the capers on the salmon were a nice touch. Fresh flowers on the tables were a pleasant detail, and the room’s toiletries were high quality. The staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed a good break. However, the first impression outside the pub was off because the windowsills were dirty, though that cleared up once inside. The flower planter on the bedroom windowsill still needs cleaning.
