“Alojamiento con excelente ubicación”

The location was fantastic: restaurants, supermarkets, and shops right next door, plus a short walk to the city center, a block from the metro, and five blocks from the central station—so we didn’t need transport to get to the museums. The host was very helpful and friendly, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom was spotless. The room had a balcony, which I loved. However, there were only a few electrical outlets, the bed creaked loudly, and the room felt very cramped.

I arrived late and had to call the host for instructions, which was confusing. I entered a “private” apartment with numbered doors that looked more like a shared flat. When I found my room, the neighbor tapped the wall to tell me to be quiet—so awkward I didn’t want to meet any other guests in the kitchen or living room. The address wasn’t even the one I booked; I had to walk a good distance to get close to the bus and metro. I had a dog that was “welcome,” but I couldn’t sleep because I was worried it would bark, and I couldn’t even make a phone call or watch anything in the room because the sound was too loud between rooms. I just wanted to leave. No sense of privacy. In the morning I met other guests who felt the same; they thought it would be more like a hotel. So it’s more like an Airbnb than a hotel.
