“Good stay in a small city”
The place was really quiet. I booked a 4‑bed dorm with one other guest and never saw anyone else on that floor; after that person left the next day I had the dorm to myself for the rest of my stay. It sits just outside the city centre, which was fine for me because I enjoy walking, and the neighbourhood was calm. The bed was comfortable, and the room had reliable A/C and Wi‑Fi. A light breakfast—bread, bananas, jam, butter, and coffee or tea—was included; it was basic but appreciated given the price. The common areas were nice and inviting, with hammocks and small coffee tables scattered around the property, offering several pleasant spots to relax. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want a quiet place away from the busiest parts of town. Regarding check‑in, I had sent my expected arrival time ahead of time and it was approved, but when I arrived nobody was there to greet me. I waited outside for about 20 minutes while it was pouring rain, though there was a roof to shelter me. I finally got a WhatsApp reply, and the host opened the door remotely so I could get inside, but I still had to wait until later that evening to finish the actual check‑in. The host doesn’t speak English, so communication can be a bit tricky; we had to contact her daughter for help or advice, and she was very caring and helpful. This isn’t a typical hostel if you’re looking for a social vibe—there’s no real common hostel environment where you meet other travelers or can easily ask the host for recommendations. That wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s something to consider depending on what you want.
