Modern 2 Bedroom House in Central Cardiff

“Good but unable to connect to wifi using code provided therefore the TV didn’t work”

No breakfast was included, but the local café was very good; inside the property it was well equipped and clean, though litter and rubbish bags were scattered across the surrounding streets and bags full of food waste were in front of the property.

“My friends and I were expecting a peaceful and quiet time... but when we arrived, the stress of the key came, leaving us”

Honestly, I only paid the real price here on booking because the extra price they wanted to make me pay upset me. 🥺. I didn't like it because I paid the full amount for the stay through booking. When we arrived to pick up the key, the code didn't work. We had to call the number that was there. The person who answered the phone said that we would have to pay another deposit of £350. I explained that we had already paid the full amount. In this case, the person made us wait in front of the house for 1 hour. I had to tell him several times that I wouldn't pay anything else and that if he didn't give me the code, I would call the police because that wasn't right. After 1 hour, he gave me the code. I don't recommend booking at this place because it's very stressful. There was also a lot of trash in front of the house, there was no fan and it was very hot

“With a few simple improvements this property could be a great place to stay.”

The toilet seat was broken when we arrived. Disappointingly, the cleaners must have known that when they left but they didn’t inform us. I contacted who sent Dean around very promptly. He was super-helpful, fixing the seat and also showing us how to use the heating. Dean agreed that the lack of a stick for the velux windows (see below) was definitely an issue but sadly this wasn’t rectified during our stay. The majority of the road (& surrounding roads) had permit parking - but we were always able to find a non-permit space. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was a good standard. The shower itself was wonderful (although you couldn’t reach the velux window to close the blind and the shower base was slippery). The location was great for visiting local tourist sites. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. I am not sure how long this property has been available ? There are a few simple tweaks that would have enabled me to give it a much higher score e.g. there were only 3 mugs and in the front bedroom you could only open 1 window (the other was locked and there was no key). The second bedroom had high Velux windows with blackout blinds but there was no stick to open/close the blinds or the windows so the room was permanently in darkness. There was no light bulb in the lounge. Other simple helpful extras would have included a toilet roll holder for the upstairs toilet, a shower mat and some hooks for the towels. Finally, we had arranged an earlier arrival time but this information was not passed on to the cleaners. They arrived the same time that we did so we had to wait in the car whilst the clean took place
